Saturday 1st July from 12p.m-2.00pm on North Parade, Bradford (near the Hamme Strasse/ Cheapside junction).
On the bi-centenary of his birth, Branwell Brontë’s artist’s studio in Bradford, (1838-39),is celebrated by the unveiling of a permanent storyboard on North Parade, close to the studio’s former location on Fountain Street. The storyboard has images of portraits he completed at the studio and explanatory text. The unveiling will be followed by light refreshments and a reading in the nearby City Gent from Branwell’s poetry and prose written during his stay in the town The Cartwright Hall Gallery catalogue, Branwell Brontë & his Circle-Artistic life in Bradford 1830-50 , will be distributed as a souvenir of the event. The unveiling is part of the 10 days celebration of the written and spoken word that is Bradford Literature Festival.
