This talk will explore the research undertaken for the Daphne Carrick Memorial Scholarship by author and independent researcher Melissa Hardie-Budden. Melissa's research challenges some established thinking around the religious upbringing of Maria and Elizabeth Branwell and possible influences of their wide Cornish family connections upon their life and faith.
