POETRY AT THE PARSONAGE: Poetry workshop
This workshop, led by our creative partner Simon Armitage, will focus on writing poems about the great game reserves, wildernesses, wastelands, national parks, mountain ranges, ice fields, deserts and rain forests of the spaces we inhabit and the rooms where we live.
Simon Armitage was born in West Yorkshire and is Professor of Poetry at Oxford University. He has published over a dozen collections of poetry. Simon is also a playwright, novelist, song lyricist and broadcaster. The recipient of numerous awards, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Society for Literature in 2004 and awarded the CBE for services to poetry in 2010. His latest collection of poems,
The Unaccompanied, was published in March.
