Are you interested in local history and folklore? Have you got a Brontë or Haworth story to share? Join us for an afternoon of Mapping Magic!
Mapping Magic is an innovative online resource that covers the whole of Great Britain, including Brontë Country, via an interactive map. Everyone is invited to go online and ‘pin’ a snippet of text, historical photo, video, audio recording or personal recollection to the map, thus adding to this fascinating resource. Mapping Magic is a Historypin Special Collection devised by Dr Simon White, Reader in Romantic & Nineteenth-Century Literature at Oxford Brookes University. This special event offers the opportunity to hear Simon talk about the resource and explain how you can participate by sharing and discovering pins relating to Haworth and the surrounding area. There will be readings of magical poetry and prose and the opportunity to share your own magical stories and anecdotes.

Tickets cost £3 (£2 Brontë Society members and concessions*) and include a cup of tea. Please secure your place at www.bronte.org.uk/whats-on or by calling 01535 640192.

*In addition to Brontë Society members, concessions apply to the following groups:
Children, students and people over 65
People in receipt of Personal Independence Payment
People in receipt of a means-tested benefit
Please be prepared to provide proof of status.
