The Brontë Quilt unpicked

It’s Museums at Night time again! Come along after hours for a unique opportunity to view the patchwork quilt worked on by the Brontë sisters and their Aunt Branwell, rarely displayed due to its size and fragility. We will also be joined by members of the Totley Brook Quilters from Sheffield, who produced a replica quilt for Charlotte’s bicentenary in 2016, which they are now kindly donating to the Museum. This special evening will provide an insight into the sisters’ needlework, particularly Emily’s, and the work involved in creating the replica.

Tickets £20/£17.50 concessions* and include a glass of wine. Places are limited, so early booking is advised. Please book in advance at www.bronte.org.uk/whats-on or by calling 01535 642323.

*In addition to Brontë Society members, concessions apply to the following groups:
Children, students and people over 65
People in receipt of Personal Independence Payment
People in receipt of a means-tested benefit
Please be prepared to provide proof of status.
