The Brontë Parsonage Museum has been shortlisted for a prestigious 2016 White Rose Award in the category of Large Visitor Attraction.

The awards, organised and hosted by Welcome to Yorkshire, are the UK's largest celebration of tourism and attract hundreds of entries. Sir Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said:  “Once again the entries for this year’s White Rose Awards have been exceptional across all categories, so a huge congratulations to those who have made the shortlist."

Rebecca Yorke, Marketing and Communications Manager at the Museum said:
We are thrilled to be a finalist in the White Rose Awards.  Everyone at the Museum plays a very important role in sharing the story of the Brontës  and we take great pride in ensuring our visitors have the best possible experience.  Charlotte’s bicentenary year has been a great success so far and being shortlisted for Large Visitor Attraction of the year is the perfect complement to our celebrations.”

The winners of each category will be announced at special awards ceremony later in the year.
