Monthly Tuesday Talk
Despite its firm position in the canon of English literature, Wuthering Heights defies easy categorisation and analysis. Though famously independent and original in her artistic vision, Emily also drew on previous literary traditions and genres. This talk explores how these sources, as well as the tales, folklore and even gossip she grew up with, combined in the creation of this literary masterpiece.
The talk will be delivered twice, at 11:30am and 2.00pm.
Free with admission to the Museum.
