Fight for your right to write - Writing Workshop Online. Part of the Bronte Festival of Women's Writing.

Missed Nicole’s Friday workshop in person? Get your Saturday off to a great start with this writing workshop via Zoom.
Writing can be a form of activism and an act of resistance in and of itself. Join Bradford writer Nicole Joseph in a workshop that will give you the tools to tell a story you’re passionate about.

Nicole Joseph is a passionate advocate for inclusion and access and will consider tools for beginning and sustaining a writing practice in an environment that does not always encourage and include writers of all backgrounds. How to pick up the pen and keep it moving, practically, with exercises and tools to get you started and keep you going along the way.

Nicole Joseph is a writer from Bradford.  She is a Tamasha Playwright and Sheffield Theatres Bank Cohort Writer (2021-22) who loves to connect and care for communities through stories. Her work defies expectations by taking characters and places that are often overlooked and marginalised and illuminates them.

This event takes place 10am - 10:50am on Saturday 24 September. This event costs £5, and is in online only (please check out Friday's programme for an in person alternative of Nicole's workshop).

This event is part of the Brontë Festival of Women’s Writing. The Brontë Sisters were bold, daring and wrote stories that surprised the world. This year’s festival celebrates female writers and artists who create work which pushes boundaries.  From poetry workshops and Q&A’s to live music and more, we’re thrilled to present a festival that welcomes exciting female voices from across the country.

What’s more, this year’s  festival is hybrid, which  means you can join us in person in Haworth or online from wherever in the world you are.

There's so much to see- why not join us for all our festival events and make a weekend of it?
