Anna Doherty: Illustration workshop for all. Part of the Bronte Festival of Women's Writing.

Learn how to draw the brilliant Brontë sisters with children’s book illustrator Anna Doherty. Anna’s workshops are suitable for all ages, so whether you’re 2 or 92, come along and create some fantastically feminist illustrations!

Anna Doherty is a Scottish children's book illustrator and author and science illustrator. Her work encourages, promotes and celebrates gender equality.

This event takes place 1:10 pm - 2:10 pm on Saturday 24 September at the Bronte Event Space at the Old School Room. This event costs £8/£6* concessions, and is a Hybrid Event.

If you're planning on attending in Haworth, please select the '£6 ticket', alongside how many free under 16's tickets you would like to reserve. You will be sent details on when and where to arrive.


If you're planning on joining online, please select the '£6 online hybrid ticket'. We will be sending out the online resources to you. This will included a pdf booklet with illustration resources, and information on how to take part in the workshop at home.

This event is part of the Brontë Festival of Women’s Writing. The Brontë Sisters were bold, daring and wrote stories that surprised the world. This year’s festival celebrates female writers and artists who create work which pushes boundaries.  From poetry workshops and Q&A’s to live music and more, we’re thrilled to present a festival that welcomes exciting female voices from across the country.

What’s more, this year’s  festival is hybrid, which  means you can join us in person in Haworth or online from wherever in the world you are.
