Summer Festival Weekend - Premiere screening of new film by LipService

A film by LipService for Charlotte's bicentenary (also featuring Emily, but Anne's just popped out for a cup of sugar).

Audrey and Olivia of The National Institute for Bringing History to Life Society have been given exclusive access to the Parsonage to make one of the most revelatory films about Charlotte Brontë ever produced. In this insightful drama documentary, they reveal that Charlotte liked nothing better than to knock through and brighten up a drab corner with some choice chintz, that Emily had an insatiable penchant for mint humbugs and that Anne was the inspiration behind many of Alan Ayckbourn's successful stage farces.

Charlotte - The Movie! will premiere in Haworth at this unique screening event, which will also feature excerpts from the stage show Withering Looks and Mrs Gaskell popping over from Manchester with some words of wisdom. The audience are invited to join in with a Brontë quiz, and yes: there will be prizes!

Tickets £15 and can be booked in advance from Tuesday 3 May 2016 by using the link to the left of your screen, or by calling 01535 640188.

This event is part of the Brontë Society's AGM & Summer Festival weekend. Brontë Society members will receive a priority booking form detailing all events in April and remaining places will be available to non-members from Tuesday 3 May.
