Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, The Maid of Killarney ... you will have recognised the first three titles, but how about the fourth? It's the name of a novel by Patrick Brontë, the first member of the famous family with aspirations to become a writer. This talk considers Patrick's poetry, fiction and non-fiction and how they relate to each other, and asks the inevitable questions ... was he any good?
