Some of the most exciting contemporary voices in Irish writing have been invited to read at the Brontë Parsonage Museum by our writer-in-residence Zaffar Kunial to celebrate the Irishness of the Brontës, and the journeys that played a significant part in defining this creative family.
Zaffar will be joined by Nicole Flattery and Colette Bryce.
Nicole Flattery’s work has been published in the Stinging Fly, White Review, Dublin Review, BBC Radio 4, Irish Times, Winter Papers and will be published in the forthcoming Faber anthology of new Irish writing. Her story ‘Track’ won the 2017 White Review Short Story Prize. She is twenty-nine years old and lives in Galway.
Colette Bryce is a poet from Derry, Northern Ireland. She has published four poetry collections including The Full Indian Rope Trick (Picador, 2004) and Self-Portrait in the Dark (2008).
