Patrick was a man with pronounced, and sometimes surprising, political views. Though a committed Tory, he was never one to toe a party line, and his views on social justice seem at times to spring from a far more radical standpoint. This talk explores his political ideas and the causes he defended, as well as some of the factors that may have shaped his particular political worldview.
