On Thursday 19th May, the Brontë Parsonage Museum was proud to introduce We Wove a Web in Childhood, a performance by the children of Haworth Primary School at the Old School Room in Haworth.

This was the finale of a project in which the children worked with Kala Sangam the South Asian Arts organisation and staff from the museum to devise a story inspired by the Brontës' experiences they were young. The children researched, made props and learned dances to put together a lively, exciting and sometimes moving performance.

Helen Thompson, head of Haworth Primary School said   “...
the passion and enthusiasm of the children really shone through”. The work the Parsonage has done with the school has really inspired them, along with the fantastic work with Kala Sangam.

If you missed it the first time, the school will be presenting We Wove a Web in Childhood for the second time on the afternoon of Friday 17th June at 2pm
