Make the most of your trip to the Brontë Parsonage Museum and explore the local area while you're here.

Haworth

The Brontë Parsonage Museum is in the picturesque West Yorkshire village of Haworth.

Walk its cobbled streets and crooked alleyways, and visit St Michael and All Angels church opposite the Museum, where all the Brontës except Anne are buried.

You'll find plenty of opportunities to refuel along cobbled Main Street - including cafes, bistros, pubs and restaurants. Haworth is also famed for its independent shops, and it's worth leaving time to call in to a few on your way up or down the hill.

Brontë Birthplace, Thornton

The Brontë Birthplace in Thornton, Bradford, is where the Brontë children were born and spent their earliest years. Following a major community-led restoration project from June 2024 to March 2025, the house officially reopened in 2025 as a heritage visitor attraction, community space and overnight accommodation. Today, visitors can explore the family’s early story through guided and self-guided experiences, while enjoying a programme of events, exhibitions and activities celebrating the Brontës’ legacy and Bradford’s cultural heritage.

The project was made possible through support from Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, The National Lottery Heritage Fund and a successful community share offer alongside other generous funders and supporters.
