Wise Children and 'Wuthering Heights'

The Brontë Lounge is back with a very special guest. 

Actor, writer and director Emma Rice will be dropping into the Brontë Lounge to talk about her acclaimed stage adaptation of Wuthering Heights with our host Helen Meller. 

Emma is the Artistic Director of Wise Children, whose exciting production of Wuthering Heights is currently on tour and attracting rave reviews.  From 2016 to 2019, Emma was Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, where her productions included Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night's Dream. For the previous twenty years, she worked at Kneehigh as actor, director and Artistic Director.  

In this special event, Emma will talk about why Emily Bront
ë's masterpiece remains relevent today and what propelled her to adapt it for the stage.   There will also be the opportunity for you, the audience, to ask a question via the zoom 'chat' function, so why not buy a ticket for the special online 'on demand' broadcasts  of Wuthering Heights available 26 - 28 November and watch the show before this event?
