Written in Stone - The Four Seasons

Please note that the workshop is not date-specific - it is available for you to access until the end of 2023.

Alongside the Museum’s 2023 theme of Year of ‘the Wild’, local environmental artist Winston Plowes will guide four different sessions (one per season) exploring the connections between land art and creative writing.

In tandem with these events happening in person throughout the year, we are also offering an online version of the workshops, for you to take part no matter where you are in the world.

Winston has created a 20 minute video that will encourage you to go out into your local landscape, and create art made from sticks, twigs, foliage and more. He also leads an inspiring creative writing workshop linked to nature.

"Together we will learn simple and rewarding writing techniques and work with the natural materials that come to hand and see them with different eyes. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to take part and share."

This online workshop is free or Pay What You Feel. Please find booking information below.

This online resource is free. To take part in the online workshop, please purchase a free ticket on the left hand side, and the video will be sent to you in the email.

There is also an option to Pay What You Feel if you can afford to donate to the project, with options of £3, £5, or £7.

This workshops will be available for you to access until the end of 2023.

We will be releasing more online workshops throughout the year; keep an eye out on our News and What's On page.
