Churchyards are fascinating places to explore. They are filled with stories and secrets, and they can also be wonderful havens for wildlife! The Brontë children grew up with a churchyard right on their doorstep. Their father, Patrick Brontë, was the minister at St Michaels and all the Angels for 41 years. The churchyard is rich with history and connections with the family to this very day.

Become a Churchyard Detective as we explore the churchyard and see what it can tell us about life in Haworth in days gone by. We may even meet some current residents, above us in the trees, or peeping out in the undergrowth…. binoculars at the ready!
