A festival showcasing and celebrating women's writing

Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë were pioneering women writers and continue to inspire contemporary literature in limitless ways. The Museum is hosting its ninth festival dedicated to showcasing and celebrating women's writing and, with our guest programmer, novelist Kit de Waal, is delighted to present a weekend of events.

The full programme will be released on our website in early summer, but confirmed highlights include appearances by Amy Liptrot, Sara Collins and the team behind the Staunch prize, plus a masterclass morning, The Life of A Book, that aspiring writers will not want to miss. Kit will also present an event featuring contributors to Common People, an anthology featuring new and established working class voices.

The full line-up will be announced on Monday 3 June, and tickets will go on sale at the same time. We aim for the Festival to be as inclusive as possible, and will be offering concessionary rates for all events. A limited number of bursaries will be available. Please continue to check the website for more details and all the latest information as it is released.
