News Story

The Brontë Parsonage Museum and Writers Project of Ghana are thrilled to offer an opportunity for four women writers to take part in an international literary exchange between the UK and Ghana. The project is in partnership with Bradford Culture Company, Writers Project of Ghana, and the Brontë Parsonage Museum, and is supported by British Council.

After our successful collaboration in 2025 with the literary project Wandering Imaginations, as part of Bradford's year as City of Culture, we are excited to continue this literary partnership with Bradford Culture Company and Writers Project of Ghana. Two writers from the North of England, and two writers from Ghana will participate in a series of online sessions, receive mentoring, and travel to participate at the Brontë Women’s Writing Festival, Haworth, and Pa Gya! Festival, Accra. You will develop a piece of new writing inspired by the sessions, the connection between the Brontës and Ghana, and your own research.

Please apply by the deadline 3 May 2026, 5pm BST.

Shortlisted writers will be invited to an online interview (date TBC).
