Volunteer with us
INTERESTED IN BECOMING A VOLUNTEER AT THE MUSEUM?
Do you enjoy meeting people from all over the world? Do you have some free time you'd like to put to good use and would like to help visitors get the most from their visit to the Bronte Parsonage Museum? If you can answer 'yes' to these questions, then we'd love to hear from you!
The Bronte Parsonage Museum is an independent charity which runs a volunteer programme to supplement our Front of House staff and Learning Officer. Our volunteers are an invaluable part of keeping the Museum running and get involved as Visitor Experience volunteers; with delivering walks and talks as part of the Learning Team; or working with our volunteer gardening team. In general there is no minimum amount of time you must give but it would be beneficial to have regular involvement.
The Museum operates seven days a week, throughout the year, opening at 10.00am and closing at 5.00pm.
Our visitor numbers are currently very high, particularly at the weekends, so we are very keen to hear from people who may be able to assist by volunteering some time on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
All volunteering will take place in and around the Museum and reasonable travel expenses will be paid in line with our Volunteer Policy 2015.
The Museum conducts quarterly intakes of volunteers and upon receipt of a Volunteer Application Form arrangements will be made for you to attend a brief introductory meeting with the Museum Manager or Learning Officer.
If you are interested in a volunteer role you can access a brief summary of the roles and an application form using the Download button. Alternatively you can email us here, or phone the Museum on 01535 642323.
