September 2021: Campaign to Save the Honresfield Library

The Brontë Society is proud to be part of a funding consortium led by the Friends of the National Libraries to save the unique Honresfield Library for the nation. The Honrefield collection, which has recently come to light after almost eighty years in obscurity,  contains over 500 important manuscripts, with Brontë material, including Emily Brontë and Anne Brontë poetry manuscripts, 'little books', and the Brontë family's own annotated copy of  Bewick's 'History of British Birds', at its heart.

The Bront
ë Society has launched a JustGiving appeal to support the wider FNL campaign and is seeking to raise £25,000 before the end of October.  If you would like to contribute to this appeal, and help us save these treasures for future generations to enjoy, please click here.
