Join host Yvette Huddleston as we explore historical fiction set in Yorkshire and northern folklore. Yvette will be joined by Jennie Godfrey (The List of Suspicious Things) and Rachel Bower (It Comes from the River).

Rachel Bower is a prize-winning poet and short story writer from Bradford. She is the author of two poetry collections and a non-fiction book on literary letters. Rachel won The London Magazine Short Story Prize 2019/20 and the W&A Short Story Competition 2020. It Comes from the River is her debut novel.

Jennie Godfrey was raised in West Yorkshire and her debut novel, The List of Suspicious Things, is inspired by her childhood there in the 1970s. Jennie is from a mill-working family, but as the first of the generation born after the mills closed. She is now a writer and part-time Waterstones bookseller and lives in the Somerset countryside.
