From literature to music, explore the world of Wuthering Heights through sound.
Explore Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights through eleven songs composed by singer/songwriter Marrianne. Resurgam: Tales of the North Wind & Storms delves into the novel’s varied themes of relationships, religion, death and social constructs.
Marrianne on her work: “Working closely with the text, exploring varied biographies and information surrounding Emily, her life and what inspired her as well as drawing from my own love of the novel and the landscape in which it was created and incorporating elements of Emily’s striking and moving poetry, I have sought to bring Wuthering Heights to life through this album in all of it’s wonderful, natural glory.”
To celebrate Emily's birthday, you can listen to the album in the Servants' Room in the Museum, or venture out onto the moors and listen on the Bloomberg Connects app.
