Out on the wily, windy moors, explore an extraordinary open-air gallery inspired by the natural world.

The Brontë Parsonage Museum is proud to work in partnership with Bradford 2025 supporting Wild Uplands: an extraordinary open-air gallery created for the vast skies and expansive moorland above Haworth.

Shanaz Gulzar, Creative Director of Bradford 2025 and the curator of Wild Uplands, has invited four leading national and international artists – Monira Al Qadiri, Meherunnisa Asad with Studio Lél, Vanessa da Silva and Steve Messam – to create new works in response to Penistone Hill. They’ll be inspired both by the natural attributes and by the industrial heritage of these former quarries – and by the future of our natural world in light of the ongoing climate crisis.

Our wonderful team of Wild Uplands volunteers will be available here at the Museum to chat to at weekends from June to September.

Come and explore the Wild Uplands sculpture trail in your own time, pick up a free family activity map from the Museum, for full details about the installation and events visit Bradford 2025’s Wild Uplands.

The Brontë Parsonage Museum is a Bradford 2025 partner. Museum staff are on hand to help you find out more.
